Installation Notes
- Shut off the engine and close the raw water intake seacock.
- Place an absorbent towel under the pump to catch any spilled coolant.
- Remove the screws from the water pump cover plate.
- Carefully pry the old impeller out using two screwdrivers or an impeller pulling tool.
- Clean the inside of the pump housing, inspecting for scoring or damage.
- Apply the included lubricant to the inside of the housing and to the new impeller.
- Install the new impeller with a rotating motion in the direction of engine rotation to bend the blades correctly.
- Replace the cover plate, using new gaskets or O-rings as supplied.
- Tighten the cover screws evenly to the manufacturer's specified torque.
- Open the seacock, start the engine, and immediately check for leaks and proper water flow from the exhaust.
