Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and shift the outboard into neutral.
Remove the propeller and the lower unit (gearcase) bolts, then carefully lower the unit to expose the driveshaft.
Unbolt and remove the old water pump housing assembly. Note the orientation of the old parts as you remove them.
Clean the driveshaft and mounting surfaces thoroughly, removing any old gasket material or debris.
Assemble the new kit components. Lightly grease the pump cup/liner and install the new seal, wear plate, and gasket.
Slide the new woodruff key into the driveshaft slot, then install the new impeller, ensuring the vanes are oriented correctly (curved against the direction of rotation).
Install the new housing, O-ring, and grommet. Secure it with the provided short and long screws.
Guide the water tube into the pump grommet and carefully reinstall the lower unit, ensuring the driveshaft splines align.
Bolt the lower unit back in place, reinstall the propeller, and reconnect the battery.
Start the engine and immediately check the tell-tale outlet for a strong, steady stream of water.
