Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and remove the propeller.
Drain the gearcase lubricant.
Unbolt and remove the lower unit from the outboard motor.
Remove the old water pump housing and impeller assembly.
Clean the mounting surfaces thoroughly, removing any old gasket material.
Install the new wear plate, gaskets, and impeller into the new housing. Ensure the key is properly seated.
Lubricate the new impeller and inside of the housing with a suitable marine grease.
Install the new water pump assembly onto the driveshaft.
Reinstall the lower unit, ensuring the water tube and shift shaft are correctly aligned.
Refill the gearcase with fresh lubricant.
Reinstall the propeller and reconnect the battery.
Test the engine in water, confirming a steady stream of water from the tell-tale port.
