Installation Notes
- Always disconnect the battery and ensure the engine is off and in neutral before starting work.
- Remove the lower gearcase unit from the outboard motor.
- Unbolt and carefully remove the water pump housing cover.
- Observe the rotational direction of the old impeller's fins before removing it.
- Slide the old impeller off the driveshaft, and remove the drive key, gaskets, and wear plates.
- Thoroughly clean all mating surfaces, removing any old gasket material or debris.
- Install the new gasket, wear plate, drive key, and impeller. Bend the fins in the correct rotational direction.
- Lightly lubricate the inside of the pump housing and the new impeller with a marine-safe lubricant.

- Reattach the lower unit to the outboard motor.
