Troubleshooting & FAQ

How can I confirm this kit fits my specific engine?

The surest way to confirm fitment is by matching your engine's model number and year against the "Engine & Model Compatibility" table. You can also cross-reference your existing part number with those in the "Part Number Matrix."

What are the signs of a failing water pump impeller?

Common symptoms include a weak or non-existent "telltale" water stream, engine overheating alarms, and reduced engine performance. Visible signs on the old impeller include cracked, brittle, or missing vanes.

How often should the water pump impeller be replaced?

As a general maintenance guideline, it's recommended to inspect the impeller annually and replace it every 1-2 years or every 100-200 hours of operation, whichever comes first. This interval can be shorter in saltwater or silty/sandy conditions.

Is the driveshaft key really necessary to replace?

Yes. The small woodruff-style key locks the impeller to the driveshaft, ensuring it spins correctly. Old keys can be worn or sheared. Always use the new key provided in the kit to prevent slippage and pump failure.

OEM vs. Aftermarket: What’s the difference?

This listing is an aftermarket replacement, not an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) part. It is built to meet or exceed OEM-level specifications using comparable materials. Our parts are manufactured in an ISO 9002 certified facility and are batch-inspected to ensure consistent quality and performance.

What are the shipping speed and cost?

We ship worldwide quickly—typical transit time is 5–15 days. Standard shipping is free to most locations, with expedited options available at checkout where applicable.

What is the warranty and return policy?

This kit is covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal marine use. If you encounter any issues, please contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard window for unused parts in their original condition. See our official policy page or reach out for instructions.

Safety & Important Info

  • Verify images and specifications against your original part. If anything differs—even if your model appears compatible—do not purchase.
