Installation Notes

1. Disconnect the battery and remove the engine cover.
2. Drain the gearcase lubricant from the lower unit.
3. Remove the lower unit (gearcase) from the outboard motor.
4. Unbolt and remove the water pump housing to access the impeller.
5. Remove the old impeller, wear plate, gaskets, and seals. Note their orientation.
6. Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly, removing any old gasket material or corrosion.
7. Install the new wear plate, gaskets, and impeller. Ensure the Woodruff key is properly seated.
8. Lubricate the new impeller and inner housing with a suitable marine grease.
9. Reinstall the water pump housing and torque bolts to manufacturer specifications.
10. Reattach the lower unit to the outboard, refill with gear lubricant, and reconnect the battery.
11. Test the engine using a water source (flushing muffs) to ensure proper water flow.
