Installation Notes

Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent accidental starting.
Shift the outboard into neutral and remove the lower unit (gearcase) mounting bolts.
Carefully lower and remove the gearcase assembly to access the water pump.
Unscrew the bolts holding the water pump housing and remove the old assembly and impeller.
Thoroughly clean the driveshaft and the mounting surfaces where the new pump will sit.
Assemble the new kit components in order: install the new plate, gaskets, impeller key, and impeller (rotate clockwise while pushing down).
Lightly lubricate the inside of the new housing and install it over the impeller.
Reinstall the lower unit, ensuring the water tube and driveshaft align correctly, then secure with bolts.
Reconnect the battery and test the engine in water, confirming a steady tell-tale stream.
