Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and shift linkage.
Remove the lower unit (gearcase) bolts and carefully separate it from the upper housing.
Unbolt the old water pump housing and lift it off the driveshaft.
Remove the old impeller, key, gaskets, and seals. Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly.
Install the new gaskets, seals, and water pump base.
Slide the new key onto the driveshaft and install the new impeller, turning the shaft clockwise to bend the vanes correctly.
Install the new housing and guide tube, ensuring seals are properly seated.
Torque the housing bolts to the manufacturer's specification.
Reinstall the lower unit, ensuring the driveshaft, shift shaft, and water tube align correctly.
Secure the lower unit bolts to specification.
Reconnect the shift linkage and battery.
Test the engine with a water supply ("muffs" or in water) to ensure proper cooling system function before operation.
