Installation Notes
- Disconnect the spark plug wires and the negative battery terminal for safety.
- Drain the gearcase oil and remove the lower unit from the outboard engine.
- Unbolt and carefully remove the existing water pump housing. Note the orientation of all parts.
- Remove the old impeller, gaskets, wear plate, and O-rings.
- Thoroughly clean all mating surfaces, removing any old gasket material or corrosion.
- Install the new wear plate, gaskets, and keyway. Slide the new impeller onto the driveshaft, turning it clockwise to set the vanes correctly.
