Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and remove the engine cowling.
Shift the outboard into neutral. Drain the gearcase oil into a suitable container.
Remove the bolts securing the lower unit (gearcase) to the engine's midsection and carefully lower it.
Unbolt and remove the old water pump housing assembly located on top of the gearcase.
Clean the mounting surfaces and drive shaft. Note the orientation of the old impeller vanes upon removal.
Install the new components from the kit in reverse order. Lightly grease the new impeller and insert it while turning the drive shaft clockwise.
Ensure all gaskets, seals, and o-rings are seated correctly. Torque housing bolts to manufacturer specifications.
Reinstall the lower unit, top up the gearcase oil with the correct grade, and re-fasten all bolts.
Once assembled, start the engine in water and confirm a steady "telltale" stream of water is exiting the engine.
