- Shut off the fuel supply valve and place an oil-absorbent pad under the filter assembly.
- Carefully disconnect the fuel lines from the old filter. Note their orientation.
- Unscrew and remove the old filter element from its housing.

- Fill the new filter with clean diesel fuel to prime it before installation.
- Screw the new filter on by hand until the gasket makes contact, then tighten an additional 3/4 to 1 full turn. Do not overtighten.
