Installation Notes

Disconnect the negative battery cable for safety.
Locate the fuel pump on the engine block. Place a rag underneath to catch any spilled fuel.
Carefully clamp and disconnect the inlet and outlet fuel lines from the old pump. Note their orientation.
Remove the mounting bolts securing the pump to the engine.
Gently remove the old pump and any gasket material. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly.
Position the new pump (with a new gasket if required) onto the engine.
Tighten the mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque. Do not overtighten.
Reconnect the fuel lines to their correct ports on the new pump.
Prime the fuel system according to your engine's manual, then reconnect the battery.
Start the engine and carefully inspect for any fuel leaks around the pump and connections.
