Installation Notes

Disconnect the negative battery terminal and drain the engine's cooling system.
Carefully disconnect all fuel lines, throttle cables, vacuum hoses, and electrical connectors attached to the intake manifold.
Remove the distributor cap and note the rotor's position for reassembly. Remove the distributor hold-down clamp and lift it out.
Loosen and remove the intake manifold mounting bolts following the manufacturer's recommended reverse sequence.
Carefully lift the intake manifold from the engine. Be prepared for some residual coolant spillage.
Thoroughly clean the old gasket material from the surfaces of both the cylinder heads and the intake manifold. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of debris.
Position the new intake manifold gaskets on the cylinder heads. Use alignment dowels or a small amount of gasket adhesive if recommended by your service manual.
Carefully lower the new intake manifold into place without shifting the gaskets.
