Installation Notes

1. Disconnect the battery and ensure the engine is cool before starting work.
2. Remove the lower unit (gearcase) from the outboard motor.
3. Unbolt and remove the water pump housing to expose the old impeller.
4. Remove the old impeller, key, and any gaskets or seals. Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly.
5. Install the new impeller. Important: Lubricate the inside of the pump housing and the impeller with silicone grease, glycerine, or dish soap to prevent damage during first run.
6. Reassemble the water pump housing with new gaskets (if applicable) and torque bolts to manufacturer specifications.
7. Reinstall the lower unit, ensuring the driveshaft and water tube align correctly.
8. Reconnect the battery and test the engine's cooling system (confirm water is exiting the tell-tale port) before full operation.
