Installation Notes

Place a drain pan under the lower unit and remove the drain screw to empty the gearcase oil.
Remove the bolts securing the lower unit (gearcase) to the upper engine housing and carefully lower it.
Unscrew the water pump housing cover to access the impeller.
Note the orientation of the old impeller vanes, then remove the old impeller from the driveshaft.
Clean the housing and install the new impeller, rotating the driveshaft in its normal direction of operation to bend the vanes correctly.
Reassemble the water pump housing, re-mount the lower unit, and refill the gearcase oil.
After reassembly, start the engine in water and confirm a steady stream from the tell-tale outlet.
