Disconnect the battery and relieve any pressure from the fuel system.
Drain the engine coolant to a level below the intake manifold.
Carefully disconnect all fuel lines, electrical connectors, and linkages attached to the intake manifold.
Unbolt and remove the old intake manifold and gasket.
Thoroughly clean both the cylinder head and intake manifold mating surfaces. Ensure they are free of old gasket material, oil, and debris.
Position the new gasket correctly on the cylinder head; use alignment dowels if present.
Carefully place the intake manifold over the new gasket.
Tighten the manifold bolts in the sequence and to the torque specifications recommended by the manufacturer.
