This is an aftermarket Volvo Penta Duoprop D6 Aluminum Propeller Set, designed as a high-quality replacement for Volvo Penta DPS-A drives. It is suitable for all gasoline and diesel engines using the DPS drive where speeds do not exceed 35 knots. The propellers feature very thin blade profiles manufactured with high precision for optimal performance.
This D6 set is a direct replacement for Volvo Penta part numbers 3851486 (old) and 3856366 (new). Note that Volvo Penta is transitioning from Type D Duoprop sets to the newer Type I series.

- Ensure the engine is completely turned off and the battery is disconnected for safety.
- Remove the rear propeller nut and the rear propeller from the shaft.
- Remove the front propeller nut and the front propeller. Keep track of any washers or spacers.
- Thoroughly clean and inspect the propeller shafts for any fishing line, debris, or damage.
- Apply a liberal coat of marine-grade grease to the propeller shafts.
- Install the new front propeller (3856346) onto the inner shaft, followed by its locking hardware.
- Install the new rear propeller (3856356) onto the outer shaft, followed by its nut.
- Tighten both propeller nuts to the manufacturer-specified torque using a torque wrench. Do not over-tighten.
