Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and shift linkage before beginning work.
Remove the lower unit mounting bolts and carefully detach the lower unit from the engine.
Unbolt and remove the old water pump housing assembly. Note the orientation of the old parts.
Thoroughly clean the mounting surfaces and inspect the driveshaft for any scoring or damage.
Install the new shaft impeller key, wear plate, and gasket.
Slide the new impeller onto the driveshaft, rotating it in the correct direction.
Install the new pump housing and gasket, then tighten the bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque.
Carefully reinstall the lower unit, ensuring the water tube, driveshaft, and shift shaft are properly aligned.
Reconnect all linkages and test the engine's cooling system on the water.
