Installation Notes
For balanced wear and optimal performance, it is highly recommended to replace the bushings on both the port and starboard trim cylinders at the same time.
- Trim the sterndrive to the full "up" position and engage the trailering lock.
- Place a block of wood under the sterndrive for support and safety.
- Remove the anchor pin connecting the trim cylinder to the gimbal housing.
- Carefully slide the old bushing out of the trim cylinder eye.
- Clean the cylinder eye and inspect for any damage or corrosion.
- Press the new bushing firmly into place until it is fully seated.
- Realign the trim cylinder with the gimbal housing and reinstall the anchor pin.
- Repeat the process for the second trim cylinder.
- Disengage the trailering lock and test the trim/tilt function through its full range of motion.
