Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I know if this impeller fits my specific engine model?
The most reliable method is to cross-reference your existing impeller's part number with the numbers listed in our Part Number Matrix. You can also consult the Engine & Model Compatibility table. If your engine's part number or model is not listed, this part may not be compatible.
Does this impeller come with the required wedge key?
No, the wedge key (part number 0344470 or equivalent) is required for installation but is not included with this impeller.
What are the signs of a failing water pump impeller?
Common signs include a weak or non-existent water stream from the "telltale" outlet, engine overheating alarms, and reduced engine performance. In severe cases, a damaged impeller can lead to a complete loss of cooling and catastrophic engine damage.
How often should I replace my outboard's impeller?
As a general maintenance rule, it is recommended to replace the water pump impeller every one to two years, or every 100-200 hours of operation, depending on usage conditions (e.g., saltwater vs. freshwater).
OEM vs. Aftermarket?
This listing is an aftermarket replacement (not OEM). Built to OEM-level specifications with comparable materials. Manufactured in an ISO 9002 facility, batch-inspected for consistency.

We ship worldwide quickly—typical transit 5–15 days. Standard shipping is free; expedited options appear at checkout where available.
