Product Details
This 6" Mercruiser Spacer Kit raises the exhaust elbow by 6 inches on Mercruiser V6 and V8 marine engines. It is designed specifically for "wet joint" exhaust systems, typically used on models from 1986–2001 (4.3L, 5.0L, 5.7L) and from 1986 to the present on big block engines (7.4L, 8.2L). It is not compatible with newer "dry joint" systems.
This kit serves as a direct replacement for Mercury/Mercruiser parts 93322A12 and 93322A3; GLM parts 50600 and 50610; BARR part MC-20-93322A3; and Mercruiser part HOT20985.
- Installs between the exhaust manifold and the riser/elbow.
- Engineered for wet joint systems where water passes between the manifold and elbow.
- Constructed from heavy-duty cast iron for durability in marine environments.

Troubleshooting & FAQ
Will this kit fit my "dry joint" Mercruiser engine?
No. This spacer kit is specifically for "wet joint" exhaust systems only. It will not fit "dry joint" manifolds, which typically have serial numbers beginning with OM, such as OM0XXXXXXX.
How can I tell if my system is "wet joint" or "dry joint"?
Wet joint systems, common from 1986 to the early 2000s, have a visible gasket and pass water between the manifold and elbow through openings in the mating surfaces. Dry joint systems (early 2000s to present) use a U-shaped connector pipe for water and have blocked-off mating surfaces with a different bolt pattern. Always check your serial number and visual configuration.
Does this kit include gaskets and mounting bolts?
This kit includes the two cast iron spacer blocks. Please refer to the "What’s in the Box" section for a complete list of included items. Gaskets and bolts are typically sold separately to ensure you get the correct hardware for your specific manifold and elbow combination.
What are the signs my existing spacers or manifold need replacement?
Common signs of failure include water leaking externally from the gasket joints, water in the engine oil (indicating an internal leak), overheating, or visible cracks and corrosion on the cast iron components. Regular inspection is recommended, especially in saltwater environments.
