Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I know if this kit fits my specific engine?
The most important factor is the carburetor ID number. These are often stamped on the carburetor body. Compare your ID number with those listed in the 'Notes' column of the compatibility table to ensure a match. While your engine model and year may be in the list, different carburetors were sometimes used in the same production run.
What are common symptoms of a failing inlet needle?
A worn or improperly seated inlet needle can cause fuel to continuously leak into the carburetor bowl, leading to engine flooding, fuel leaking from the carburetor vents, poor or rough idling, difficulty starting, and black smoke from the exhaust.
How often should the carburetor inlet needle be replaced?
There is no fixed replacement interval. It should be inspected during any carburetor rebuild or if you experience symptoms of fuel flooding. The rubber tip can harden and deform over time, especially with modern ethanol-blend fuels.
What's the difference between part number 1395-9595 and 1395-9595-1?
Part number 1395-9595-1 is a direct supersession for 1395-9595, meaning it is the updated version from the manufacturer. It was later superseded itself by part number 1395-879194011. Our kit is designed to replace all of these versions.
OEM vs. Aftermarket?
This listing is an aftermarket replacement (not OEM). Built to OEM-level specifications with comparable materials. Manufactured in an ISO 9002 facility, batch-inspected for consistency.
