Installation Notes
- Disconnect the battery and ensure the engine is off and in neutral.
- Drain the gearcase by removing the drain/fill plugs.
- Unbolt and carefully lower the gearcase from the engine midsection.
- Remove the water pump housing cover to access the old impeller.
- Take note of the old impeller's blade orientation before removing it. Remove the old key, gaskets, and plate.
- Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly, removing any old gasket material or debris.
- Install the new gaskets, plate, key, and impeller. Lubricate the new impeller with a marine-safe lubricant.
- Reinstall the water pump housing and torque bolts to manufacturer specifications.
