Installation Notes
- Disconnect the battery and shift the outboard or sterndrive into neutral.
- Remove the gearcase/lower unit by unbolting it from the engine.
- Remove the old water pump housing and its internal components.
- Clean all mating surfaces, ensuring they are free of old gasket material and debris.
- Install the new gaskets, faceplate, impeller, and key from the kit.
- Lubricate the inside of the housing and the new impeller with a marine-safe lubricant.
- Reassemble the housing and install it on the gearcase, ensuring proper alignment.
- Reinstall the gearcase to the engine, making sure the driveshaft and water tube align correctly.
- Once assembled, start the engine and verify water is pumping from the tell-tale port.
