Installation Notes

1. Disconnect the battery and remove the engine cowling.
2. Shift the outboard into forward gear to ease driveshaft disconnection.
3. Drain the gearcase oil completely.
4. Unbolt and carefully lower the lower unit (gearcase) from the engine.
5. Remove the water pump housing bolts and lift the housing to expose the impeller.
6. Take note of the old impeller's blade direction before removing it and the wear plate.
7. Clean all surfaces and install the new gasket, wear plate, and drive key.
8. Install the new impeller by rotating the driveshaft clockwise while pushing down.
9. Apply a light coat of marine grease to the housing interior and install it with the new gasket and seals.
10. Reattach the lower unit, refill the gearcase oil, and reconnect the battery.
11. Test the engine with a water supply to ensure proper cooling system function.
