Installation Notes

Ensure the engine is off and cool. Place a drain pan under the oil filter housing to catch any spills.
Using the correct tool, slowly loosen and remove the oil filter housing cap.
Carefully take out the old oil filter element and the used O-ring(s) from the cap or housing.
Wipe the housing and cap threads clean with a lint-free cloth.
Lightly lubricate the new O-rings with fresh engine oil before seating them in their grooves on the housing/cap.
Insert the new oil filter element into the housing, ensuring it is correctly seated.
Screw the cap back on and tighten it to the manufacturer's recommended torque specification. Do not over-tighten.
After installation, run the engine for a few minutes and check for any leaks around the filter housing.
