This Water Pump Impeller Kit fits Suzuki 90HP, 115HP, and 140HP outboards (DF90, DF115, DF140) from 2001–2006. It is also compatible with select Johnson and Evinrude 4-stroke models from 2003–2006 that use Suzuki-built powerheads.

It serves as a direct replacement for OEM part numbers Suzuki 17400-90J20, Johnson/Evinrude 5033541, and Sierra 18-3258.

Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and remove the negative terminal.
Place the outboard in neutral gear.
Drain the gearcase oil into a suitable container.
Remove the mounting bolts securing the lower unit (gearcase) to the driveshaft housing.
Carefully lower and separate the gearcase from the upper housing.
Unbolt and remove the water pump housing cover to access the impeller.
Remove the old impeller, wear plate, and gasket. Note the direction of the old impeller fins.
Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly, removing any old gasket material or debris.
Install the new components in order: gasket, plate, impeller key, and then the impeller (rotating the driveshaft clockwise to seat the fins).
Reinstall the water pump housing and torque bolts to manufacturer specifications.
Reattach the lower unit to the engine, ensuring the driveshaft, shift shaft, and water tube are aligned.
Refill the gearcase with fresh oil and test the engine in water, verifying a strong tell-tale stream.
