Installation Notes

Ensure the engine is cool. Clean the area around the old spark plug to prevent debris from falling into the cylinder.
Carefully disconnect the spark plug wire boot with a gentle twisting motion.
Using a spark plug socket and extension, turn counter-clockwise to loosen and remove the old plug.
Verify the gap of the new CR6E plug is set to 0.8mm (0.031"). Although pre-gapped, checking is always recommended.
Thread the new plug into the cylinder head by hand until it is finger-tight. This prevents cross-threading.
Use a torque wrench for final tightening. Torque to 7.2-10.8 lb. ft. for cast iron heads or 7.2-8.7 lb. ft. for aluminum heads.
Reconnect the spark plug boot firmly until you feel it click into place.
