Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery leads and remove the engine cowl.
Place a drain pan under the lower unit and remove the gear lube drain screw to empty the oil.
Unbolt and carefully slide the lower unit off the driveshaft housing.
Remove the water pump housing bolts to access the impeller.
Take note of the old impeller's orientation before removing it, along with the plate, gasket, and key.
Install the new components from the kit, applying a light coat of marine grease to the new impeller.
Reinstall the water pump housing and torque its bolts to the manufacturer's specification.
Reassemble the lower unit, refill with fresh gear lube, and test the engine on a water supply to confirm proper cooling.
