Installation Notes
- Ensure the engine is off and cool before starting.
- Place a drain pan under the old filter to catch any spilled fuel.
- Using a filter wrench, turn the old filter counter-clockwise to loosen and remove it.
- Clean the filter mounting base on the engine, making sure the old gasket is completely removed.
- Apply a thin layer of clean motor oil or grease to the gasket of the new filter.
- Carefully screw the new filter onto the mounting base by hand until the gasket makes contact.
- Tighten the filter an additional three-quarters to one full turn by hand. Do not overtighten.
- Prime the fuel system according to your engine manufacturer's instructions.
