Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I know if this impeller fits my engine?
First, check the cross-reference numbers in the Part Number Matrix to see if your old part number is listed. Second, consult the Engine & Model Compatibility table. If your engine model is listed, it is likely a match. Always visually compare your old part to our photos before ordering.
What are the signs of a failing impeller?
Common signs include engine overheating, a noticeable reduction in water flow from the exhaust outlet, and visible signs of wear on the impeller itself, such as cracks, stiffness, or missing blades.
How often should I replace my impeller?
For preventative maintenance, it is recommended to replace your impeller every one to two years or after every 100-200 hours of engine operation, whichever comes first. Frequency may increase depending on water conditions and usage.
What is the difference between this neoprene impeller and a nitrile one?
This impeller is made of neoprene, which is specifically formulated for use in engine raw water cooling pumps. Nitrile impellers are designed for pumping oil or diesel fuel and should not be used for engine cooling applications.
Can I run the pump dry with this impeller?
No. Running a pump dry for even a few seconds can generate enough heat to permanently damage the neoprene blades. Always ensure water is present before and during operation.
The new impeller seems slightly larger than the pump housing. Is that normal?
Yes, this is normal. Impeller blades are designed to be flexible and will bend to fit snugly inside the housing. This tight fit is necessary to create the suction and pressure for effective water pumping.
OEM vs. Aftermarket?
This listing is an aftermarket replacement (not OEM). Built to OEM-level specifications with comparable materials. Manufactured in an ISO 9002 facility, batch-inspected for consistency.
Shipping speed & cost?
We ship worldwide quickly—typical transit 5–15 days. Standard shipping is free; expedited options appear at checkout where available.
Warranty & returns?
Covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If issues arise, contact support with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard window (unused & in original condition). See our policy page or reach out for instructions.
