Installation Notes

Ensure the engine is off and the battery is disconnected. Close the water inlet seacock.
Place a towel or absorbent pad under the raw water pump to catch any spills.
Remove the screws or bolts securing the pump cover plate.
Gently pry off the cover. Note the direction the existing impeller blades are bent.
Remove the old impeller using needle-nose pliers or impeller pullers.
Clean the inside of the pump housing and the cover plate. Inspect for wear or scoring.
Lightly lubricate the new impeller and the inside of the pump housing with glycerine or dish soap.
Insert the new impeller, bending the blades in the same direction as the old one (opposite the direction of pump rotation).
Install the new gasket or O-ring and replace the cover plate, tightening the screws evenly.
Open the water inlet seacock.
Reconnect the battery, start the engine, and immediately check for water flow and leaks.
