Installation Notes

1. Disconnect the vessel's battery and follow all standard marine safety precautions.
2. Raise the sterndrive to the full "up" or "trailer" position and secure it with a drive lock or support block.
3. Place an oil-absorbent pad under the hydraulic connections to catch any spilled fluid.
4. Carefully disconnect the hydraulic lines from the trim cylinder. Be prepared for residual pressure and fluid release.
5. Remove the retaining pins or bolts securing the old cylinder to the drive and transom assembly.
6. Remove the old cylinder. Clean the mounting points of any debris or corrosion.
7. Position the new trim cylinder and secure it with the original retaining hardware. Ensure it is correctly oriented.
8. Reconnect the hydraulic lines to the new cylinder, ensuring fittings are clean and properly tightened.
