Installation Notes

Ensure the vessel is safely out of the water and the work area is clean and dry.
Carefully remove the propeller shaft coupling and slide the shaft back to access the old seal.
Remove the old stuffing box assembly from the stern tube.
Thoroughly clean the propeller shaft and stern tube surfaces to remove any residue or corrosion.
Apply a light coat of the supplied grease to the new seal's inner lips and the propeller shaft.
Slide the new shaft seal over the shaft and onto the stern tube, ensuring correct orientation.
Secure the seal by tightening the stainless steel clamps evenly and firmly. Do not overtighten.
Reconnect the propeller shaft coupling to the transmission.
Once the vessel is back in the water, inspect the seal for any signs of leakage, both at rest and with the shaft turning.
