Installation Notes
- Raise the sterndrive to the highest trim/tilt position and disconnect the boat's battery for safety.
- Remove the mounting bolts from the old anodes. You may need a socket wrench or screwdriver.
- Once the bolts are removed, take off the old, corroded anodes. They may be brittle.
- Thoroughly clean the mounting surfaces on the sterndrive. Ensure a clean, bare metal contact area for the new anodes.
- Position the new bar and collar anodes onto the corresponding mounting points.
- Insert and securely tighten the new bolts provided in the kit. Do not over-tighten.
- Confirm both anodes are firmly in place and have direct metal-to-metal contact with the sterndrive housing.
- Lower the sterndrive and reconnect the battery. The installation is complete.
