Installation Notes

1. Ensure the engine is off and cool, and disconnect the battery.
2. Relieve any pressure in the fuel system according to your service manual.
3. Place an absorbent rag under the fuel pump to catch any spilled fuel.
4. Carefully disconnect the fuel lines from the old pump. Note their orientation.
5. Remove the mounting bolts securing the old pump and remove the unit.
6. Clean the mounting surface and inspect for any damage or debris.
7. Install the new fuel pump assembly, ensuring any gaskets are properly aligned.
8. Hand-tighten the mounting bolts, then torque them to the manufacturer's specified value.
9. Reconnect the fuel lines to the correct inlet and outlet ports.
10. Reconnect the battery.
11. Prime the fuel system as per your engine’s procedure before attempting to start.
12. Start the engine and carefully check for any fuel leaks around the pump and connections.
