Installation Notes
- Ensure the engine is turned off and cool. Disconnect the negative battery cable for safety.
- Place a suitable drain pan under the engine oil drain plug. Remove the plug and gasket, allowing the used oil to drain completely.
- Carefully remove the old engine oil filter. Lightly lubricate the gasket of the new filter with clean engine oil before installing it.
- Install the new oil drain plug gasket and tighten the drain plug to the manufacturer's specified torque.
- Refill the engine with the provided Yamalube 10W-30 oil, checking the level with the dipstick.
- Locate and replace the fuel filter assembly. Ensure all connections are secure to prevent fuel leaks.
- Position the drain pan under the lower unit. Remove both the upper (vent) and lower (drain) gear lube screws and gaskets, allowing the old lube to drain.
- Using the new gaskets, inject gear lube into the lower drain hole until it begins to flow out of the upper vent hole. Reinstall the upper vent screw first, then the lower drain screw.
- Reconnect the battery, start the engine, and check all serviced areas for leaks. Verify fluid levels and top off if needed.
- Properly dispose of all used fluids, filters, and parts according to local regulations.
