Constructed from high-strength polypropylene, it provides essential protection for both the propeller and for people, swimmers, and marine life in the water.
This is a universal accessory and does not directly replace any OEM part numbers.

Installation Notes
- Position the guard on the underside of the cavitation plate, ensuring it is as far forward as possible and there is equal distance between the guard and the propeller blades.
- If your motor has a trim tab under the cavitation plate, it must be removed before installation.
- Drill 6 holes through the cavitation plate and the guard on each side.
- Insert the bolts, washers, and nuts, and loosely tighten them.
- Drill a hole through the lower skeg, insert the corresponding bolt, washer, and nut, and tighten it securely.
- Securely tighten all cavitation plate bolts.
This guard is intended for outboard motors with a measurement of 6.5" to 7.5" from the prop shaft to the cavitation plate.

Will this fit my specific engine model?
This is a universal guard designed for most 40-65 HP outboard motors. However, it is NOT compatible with Big Foot or High Thrust models. Always measure your propeller diameter and the distance from the prop shaft to the cavitation plate (should be 6.5"-7.5") to ensure a proper fit.
What is the maximum speed I can use this guard at?
The guard is not warranted for speeds exceeding 25 mph. High speeds can put excessive stress on the guard and mounting hardware.
Why is it not recommended for High Thrust motors?
High Thrust (or Big Foot) models often have larger gearcases and different propeller configurations that may not fit within the guard's dimensions or could create performance issues.
Do I have to drill holes in my engine?
Yes, installation requires drilling holes in the cavitation plate and the skeg to securely mount the guard using the included hardware.
What tools are required for installation?
You will need a drill, the included drill bit (5/16" or 1/3"), and wrenches to tighten the nuts and bolts. The process takes approximately 30 minutes.
