Installation Notes
- Disconnect the battery or main power supply to the engine.
- Locate and unbolt the old anodes from the trim tabs and engine block. Note their orientation.
- Thoroughly clean the mounting surfaces on the engine. A wire brush may be used to remove any corrosion or residue, ensuring a clean metal-to-metal contact point.
- Align the new anodes with the mounting holes.
- Securely fasten the new anodes using the original hardware. Ensure bolts are tightened to the manufacturer's recommended torque. Do not over-tighten.
- Reconnect the battery and test engine functions.

How do I know when to replace my anodes?
Inspect anodes at least once per season or every 100 hours of operation. Replace them when they are approximately 50% corroded or appear pitted, uneven, or have a white calcareous coating that cannot be cleaned off.
Can I use this aluminium kit in fresh water?
Aluminium anodes are specifically designed for salt and brackish water. While they will work in fresh water, they are not as effective as magnesium anodes, which are the recommended type for freshwater-only environments.
Does this kit include mounting bolts or screws?
This kit contains the anodes only. Mounting hardware (bolts, screws) is not included. You should reuse your existing hardware if it is in good condition or purchase new hardware separately.
