This Skeg Guard is designed to protect new or repair damaged lower drive skegs on Mercruiser Bravo I and Bravo III drive units from 1990 to the present. Constructed from 316 marine-grade stainless steel, it adds a polished shine while improving steering performance.
This part is a direct replacement for Panther 35-SS615 and Sevencow 27051.

Installation Notes
- Clean the lower drive skeg thoroughly to remove any marine growth or debris.
- Slide the Safe-Skeg guard completely over your existing skeg to test the fit.
- Mark the locations for the two mounting holes on your skeg using the guard as a template.
- Drill the two marked holes through the skeg.
- Apply the included Loctite 262 threadlocker to the mounting bolts.
- Secure the Skeg Guard using the provided mounting hardware and Allen wrench. Tighten until snug.
