Installation Notes

Ensure the engine is in neutral and shut off. For safety, disconnect the battery and remove the ignition key.
Remove the old cotter pin, propeller nut, washer, propeller, and thrust washer from the propeller shaft.
Thoroughly clean and inspect the propeller shaft splines for any signs of wear or damage.
Apply a liberal coat of marine-grade grease to the propeller shaft splines.
Slide the new thrust washer onto the shaft.
Align the propeller with the shaft splines and slide it fully onto the shaft until it seats against the thrust washer.
Install the outer spacer (washer), followed by the propeller nut.
Tighten the propeller nut to the manufacturer's specified torque. Do not overtighten.
Align the grooves in the nut with the hole in the shaft and insert the new cotter pin.
Bend the ends of the cotter pin securely to lock the nut in place.
