Installation Notes
- Shut off the engine and allow it to cool completely. Turn off the fuel supply.
- Place a suitable container or absorbent towels under the filter to catch any spilled fuel.
- Unscrew and remove the old filter and its sealing gasket. Dispose of it properly.
- Clean the mounting surface on the engine to ensure a good seal.
- Apply a light coat of clean engine oil or grease to the gasket of the new filter.
- Spin the new filter on by hand until the gasket makes contact with the mounting surface.
- Tighten the filter an additional 3/4 to 1 full turn by hand. Do not overtighten.
- Turn the fuel supply back on and prime the fuel system according to your engine's manual.
- Start the engine and carefully check for any leaks around the filter. If leaks are found, stop the engine immediately and re-check the installation.
