Installation Notes
- Disconnect the engine's battery cables to prevent accidental starting.
- Locate the existing anodes on the gearcase housing and trim tab assembly.
- Unbolt and remove the old, depleted anodes. Note the position and orientation of each one.
- Thoroughly clean the mounting surfaces on the outboard. A wire brush or sandpaper works well to remove any corrosion or residue for a good electrical connection.
- Position the new anodes and securely fasten them using the correct hardware. Do not over-torque the bolts.
