Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and completely drain the engine's cooling system.
Remove all components above the cylinder head, such as the intake and exhaust manifolds, valve cover, and any associated wiring or hoses.
Following the manufacturer's service manual, loosen the head bolts in the specified sequence (typically the reverse of the tightening order).
Carefully lift the cylinder head straight up off the engine block to avoid damaging the surfaces.
Thoroughly clean all old gasket material from both the engine block deck and the cylinder head surface. Use a plastic scraper and appropriate solvent to prevent gouging.
Position the new cylinder head gasket over the dowel pins on the engine block. Ensure it is correctly oriented.
Gently lower the cylinder head back onto the block, aligning it with the gasket and dowel pins.
Install new or inspected head bolts. Following the manufacturer’s torque sequence and specifications, tighten the bolts in stages to achieve an even clamping force.
