Installation Notes
- Prepare the Surface: Thoroughly clean the engine cowl with a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water or a similar degreasing agent. Ensure the surface is completely dry and free of any wax, oil, or debris.
- Position the Decal: Carefully position the decal on the cowl. You can use painters' tape to create a hinge, holding it in place while you work.
- Apply the Decal: Peel the backing paper away slowly, starting from one edge. Use a squeegee or a credit card wrapped in a soft cloth to press the decal onto the surface, working from the center outwards to eliminate air bubbles.
- Remove Transfer Tape: Once the decal is firmly applied, slowly and carefully peel off the top transfer tape at a sharp angle.
- Final Press: After removing the transfer tape, go over the decal one last time with the squeegee to ensure all edges are securely adhered. Allow 24-48 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before exposing it to water.
