Installation Notes
- Prepare the Surface: Thoroughly clean the engine cowling with a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water to remove all wax, grease, and debris. Ensure the surface is completely dry.
- Position the Decal: Carefully position the decal on the cowling without peeling the backing. Use masking tape to create a hinge at the top or side to hold it in place.
- Apply the Decal: Lift the decal on its hinge, peel away the backing paper, and slowly lower the decal onto the surface, applying pressure from the center outwards.
- Remove Air Bubbles: Use a plastic squeegee or credit card to smooth out the decal and press out any trapped air bubbles, working from the center to the edges.
- Allow to Cure: Let the decal adhesive cure for at least 24 hours before exposing it to heavy water spray or harsh conditions. Avoid high-pressure washing for the first week.
