Installation Notes
- Shut off the engine and close the water intake seacock.
- Remove the water pump cover plate screws and take off the cover.
- Use needle-nose pliers or an impeller puller tool to grip the hub of the old impeller and pull it straight out.
- Clean the inside of the pump housing and inspect it for scoring or damage.
- Lightly lubricate the new impeller and housing interior with water-resistant grease or dish soap.
- Install the new impeller by pushing it in while rotating the shaft in its normal direction of operation to bend the blades correctly.
- Reinstall the pump cover with a new gasket (if required) and tighten the screws evenly. Open the seacock before starting the engine.
