Installation Notes
- Close the water intake seacock.
- Remove the raw water pump's end cover plate screws.
- Pry off the cover plate and remove the old gasket or O-ring.
- Use impeller pulling pliers or two screwdrivers to carefully remove the old impeller.
- Clean the inside of the pump housing and inspect for scoring or wear.
- Lightly lubricate the new impeller and the inside of the housing with water-resistant grease or soap.
- Install the new impeller with a twisting motion in the direction of engine rotation.
- Install the new gasket or O-ring on the cover plate.
- Reinstall the cover plate and tighten the screws evenly.
- Open the seacock and check for leaks with the engine running.
