Installation Notes

1. Shut off the engine, disconnect the battery, and close the raw water seacock.
2. Place a catch pan under the pump and drain any remaining water by loosening the drain plug or a hose.
3. Remove the screws holding the pump's end cover plate.
4. Carefully pry off the cover. Note the orientation of the impeller blades before removal.
5. Use needle-nose pliers or an impeller puller to remove the old impeller from the pump housing.
6. Clean the inside of the pump housing and the cover plate, removing any old gasket material or debris.
7. Lightly lubricate the inside of the housing and the new impeller with water-resistant grease or liquid soap.
8. Install the new impeller by pinching the blades together and inserting it with a twisting motion that matches the original blade direction.
9. Place the new gasket on the pump housing, align the new O-ring (if applicable), and reinstall the end cover.
10. Tighten the cover screws evenly in a star pattern.
11. Open the seacock, reconnect the battery, and start the engine.
12. Immediately check the pump and hose connections for any leaks.
