- Turn the fuel supply back on and check thoroughly for any leaks at the connections.
- If your engine has a primer bulb, squeeze it until it feels firm to prime the system.
- Reconnect the battery, start the engine, and check again for leaks.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I find the right filter for my engine?
To ensure a perfect match, always compare your original part's number against our Part Number Matrix. Additionally, check your engine's model and year in the Engine & Model Compatibility table. If you are unsure, contact us with your engine details before ordering.
What are the signs of a failing fuel filter?
A clogged or failing fuel filter can cause several issues, including the engine struggling to start, stalling at low speeds, poor acceleration, or a general loss of power. If you notice these symptoms, the fuel filter is a common and affordable part to inspect and replace.
How often should this filter be replaced?
For general recreational use, it's best practice to replace your inline fuel filter at least once per season, or every 100 hours of engine operation, whichever comes first. This preventative maintenance helps protect sensitive fuel system components from debris.
Is this filter different from the OEM part?
This is an aftermarket part designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications for fit and function, but it may have minor cosmetic differences. It offers a reliable, cost-effective alternative to the OEM component.
Is this an OEM part?
This listing is for a high-quality aftermarket replacement, not an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part. It is built to meet or exceed OEM-level specifications with comparable materials, manufactured in an ISO 9002 certified facility, and batch-inspected for quality and consistency.
What are the shipping speed and cost?
We ship worldwide, and most orders are delivered within 5–15 days. Standard shipping is free for most destinations. If expedited shipping is available for your location, the options and costs will be displayed at checkout.
What is the warranty and return policy?
This product is covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal marine use. If you encounter an issue, please contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard policy window for items that are unused and in their original packaging. Please see our full policy page or contact us for instructions.
Safety & Important Info
- Verify images/specifications vs your original part. If anything differs—even if your model appears compatible—do not purchase.
- This is an aftermarket replacement, not an OEM component.
